Shine The Light Initiative

Fort Group is proud to be partnering with Shine The Light Initiative, and will be heading to the Domincan Republic to help those who are less fortunate.

In October 2018, Fort Group is sponsoring 11 employees and 4 partners to fly to the Dominican Republic to assist those who face greater challenges in their lives than most of us here in Canada.

Our main purpose for this trip will be to help build two new houses for two families living in the Puerto Plata area. Some of us will also be teaching bible studies, teaching children and cooking side by side with the locals.

One of our managers, Aaron Dorosh, first went down with Shine The Light Initiative in October 2017, falling in love with the people, the plan and the idea, he decided to join them again in May 2018. Upon his return in May he brought back his love of the experience to Fort Group.

Fort Group is very excited to be apart of this trip, and looks forward to the experience it will bring.
