On December 30 the Liberal Government announced that they would extend the ability to claim donations on your 2024 personal income tax returns if the donation is made on or before February 28, 2025
While this measure has not become law, on January 23, 2025, the Canada Revenue Agency confirmed it would honour the December 30, 2024, announcement and allow the extension for purposes of assessing 2024 income tax returns.
